Without Words

As an art-form, the popular song sits somewhere in the middle of a spectrum. At one end we have poetry and spoken word and at the other end jazz, classical instrumental music and, god forbid, guitar solos.

This was beautifully summarised by a legally trained friend who said, “But without words, it’s just... music’.
