Nitro-cellulose - Mmmmmm

Rather than the usual method of using decals on the headstock of the guitar, I used a 'rubdown' - which is the same technology that Letraset originally built their fortune on.

It's not easy to get rubdowns to stick to nitro-cellulose, but I've (almost) managed it and the few areas where the rubdown refused to stick just give it an old distressed appearance. I sprayed a few more coats of cellulose on top to protect it and sanded back until the surface was smooth and level again.

There's something almost sexual about nitro-cellulose when it's sanded down with wet and dry and not yet polished up with buffing compound.

If'll you'll excuse me, i just want to slide my fingers gently backwards and forwards over my 50th Anniversary headstock...
